Responsibilities You will analyze and recommend cost and benefit of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will identify, analyze and resolve a range of budgetary programs in which funding requirements have changed significantly. You will provide information concerning overall budget and/or financial objectives to be achieved. You will assist program managers and staff officials in interpreting the impact of the planning for financial/budgetary and program changes. You will perform or advise on work in any of the phase or system of budget administration. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing financial management duties (e.g. budget oversight, analyzing and resolving problems). GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing budget administration, financial management of organizational programs, and implementing regulatory controls over budgets. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Several vacancies may be filled.
