Responsibilities You will serve as the lead for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization. You will direct and perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization. You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas. You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution. You will develop format and content to provide manager with various listings, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations. You will ensure the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports. You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization. You will prepare or review responses to external audits. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or developing the financial management analysis of programs or project funds (e.g. costs, obligations, budget planning, formulating and execution, or financial reports) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures within an organization. 0501 - Classification Standards: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/classifying-general-schedule-positions/standards/0500/gs0500pa.pdf Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education Additional Information This announcement uses the AcqDemo Business & Technical Mgmt direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Positions may or may not have a control point within bands. If the position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 05 which is currently equivalent to $185,824. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
