What we need…
COCC is looking for a Financial Management Specialist to join our team. The Financial Management Specialist is primarily responsible for financial systems implementations and upgrades. This individual will assist in providing support for advanced system issues and the continual troubleshooting, upgrading and enhancements of COCC’s financial systems. While part of the team, this person will maintain an in depth knowledge of COCC’s financial applications and functions as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the applications. A Financial Management Specialist will work with clients to understand their needs while providing solutions that map client requirements to system functionality and process improvements.

What you’ll do…
- Lead financial systems implementations and related projects, including analyzing clients' software utilization and perform on-site analysis activities including interviewing the end users and managers concerning their business practices
- Apply understanding of general accounting principals in utilizing the application and supporting customers, including general ledger, equity, interest, deposit, lending, asset and investment securities and loans
- Identify areas of opportunity where clients may wish to engage additional services and/or solutions provided by COCC
- Gather and review data necessary to understand functional and technical requirements as they apply to system implementations
- Provide support and expert understanding for Financial Applications internally and with clients
- Design and assist in the development of system improvements while mapping business requirements to application functionality
- Use SQL code to query database tables for research and to provide related data model specs for Programming.
What you'll bring...
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years of experience in banking, with a focus on financial accounting
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management and clients both verbally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure when dealing with dissatisfied customers
- Possess business knowledge and interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with senior management as well as the general user community
- Can adequately represent the entire organization while communicating system problems and/or deficiencies to customers while continuing to deliver superior customer service
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, have ownership and be accountable
- Ability to consistently deliver superior results while under pressure
- Comfortable handling risk and uncertainty and ability to learn quickly, adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Salary range for this role is $54060 - 81600/annually
