What We Do: Our mission is to promote happier lives through RV travel and support small businesses and communities along the way. Harvest Hosts, the core product in our portfolio , is a membership program connecting RV travelers to ~10,000 unique camping locations (or “Hosts”) across North America. For a low annual fee, members enjoy unlimited stays at our diverse locations, including farms, wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, museums, attractions, and private properties. With the addition of our Brit Stops program acquired in 2023, we offer motorhomers in the UK the same type of membership with 1,200 overnight stay options at local businesses. While there are no camping fees, we encourage members to support their Hosts by patronizing the local businesses.
In 2024, Harvest Hosts expanded its footprint with the acquisitionof Escapees RV Club. Escapees was founded in 1978 and provides community, support, and events for RVers. This acquisition allows us to provide a diverse range of benefits and in-person events allowing RVers to find community on the road.
The Role: The Financial Planning and Analysis Corporate Development Specialist will play a crucial role in the organization by providing financial insights, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting corporate development activities. This dual-role position will involve financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis, along with assessing potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to facilitate informed decision-making. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. It is a full-time position and is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
FP&A
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Conduct variance analysis to track financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports and dashboards to senior management.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and insights for accurate financial projections.
- Identify trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting, as requested.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and partnership opportunities.
- Assist in the evaluation and financial analysis of M&A transactions, including due diligence and valuation assessments.
- Support negotiation processes and integration planning for new acquisitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess strategic fit and synergy realization.
- Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to inform corporate strategy.
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or corporate development.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Experience with ERP and budgeting systems; NetSuite environment is a plus.
- Experience in software, SaaS, and consumer subscription industry, preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented culture.
- Self-starter than can receive direction and run with projects
