Our firm is currently seeking an experienced, fee-based financial planning professional to join our team as Financial Planning Director, in Saddle Brook, NJ.
As Financial Planning Director, you will work in a local office directly with Financial Advisors to provide holistic financial planning advice and analysis to the firm's clients. Leveraging your financial services industry experience and expertise, you will assist advisors and their clients in clarifying their long-term objectives and taking the steps necessary to reach their financial goals.
Requirements:
5 years of fee based financial planning experience
FINRA Series 7,
FINRA Series 65 or 66
Current Life, Accident & Health Insurance License
CFP® or Advanced Professional Designation preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
The ideal candidate:
Must have a deep knowledge of quality of advice standards and the ability to review and/or create fee-based financial plans. Have a deep understanding of insurance, investments, and investment advisory services. Have the ability to leverage internal and external resources, and partner with Regional Directors, Internals, and the Case Consulting Unit. Have the ability to identify where a planner is at in their growth and knowledge; and create awareness of available advisor training modules and content, and train advisors. Know how to influence and lead various types of advisors, as well as provide ongoing coaching. Understand appropriate fee structure. Know how to identify opportunities and renewal opportunities. Analyze firm activity to help drive results. Drive financial planning activity to increase planning clients, fees, engagement, and implementation rates while consistency maintaining quality of advice standards. Competently analyze financial planning cases and product opportunities. Grow the number of planners in firm (through conversion, recruiting or partnering) – horizontal and vertical growth and execute a successful training plan for advisors using internal home office resources. Maintain open office hours each week.
