Job Summary: The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial reporting processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BS in Accounting).
- Minimum of 4 years of total accounting experience, with a base in public accounting.
- Experience in the construction and real estate industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
