The Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis position, located in our New York headquarters, requires an experienced CPA capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced organization. This position is responsible for the preparation and analysis of a wide variety of financial and other reports including quarterly SEC filings, the annual report, and the proxy statement. The successful candidate must be highly analytical and detailed, with a high aptitude for problem-solving, as well as possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis position, located in our New York headquarters, requires an experienced CPA capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced organization. This position is responsible for the preparation and analysis of a wide variety of financial and other reports including quarterly SEC filings, the annual report, and the proxy statement. The successful candidate must be highly analytical and detailed, with a high aptitude for problem-solving, as well as possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the preparation and analysis of a wide variety of financial and other external reports including SEC filings i.e., 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings. Determine appropriate accounting for transactions and advise senior management on a variety of technical accounting and business issues
- Co-lead preparation of financial material to be used in communications to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and senior management covering accounting issues to enable decision making
- Preparation and analysis of benefit plan financial statements, i.e. 11-K and ERISA financial statements
- Stay abreast of developments in accounting and reporting guidance including new accounting pronouncements issued by the SEC and/or FASB and evaluate ate impact on financial statements, IT systems, and business processes
- Update the Company's financial and accounting policies as needed and assist the Divisions and Internal Audit in the application and adherence to the policies
- Co-lead in the preparation and presentation of various financial reporting and accounting topics to senior management
- Responsibility for certain areas of Global Accounting for Pensions, Stock Options, Derivative Instruments, and Income Taxes.
- BS in Accounting required; Masters's degree preferred;
- CPA required;
- 8-10 years of relevant experience required, including SEC reporting experience within the last two years;
- Experience in a public accounting environment required (preferably a Big 4-public accounting environment) with experience in serving multinational clients and/or consumer products or manufacturing industry preferred;
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations required.
- Ability to formulate positions on accounting issues with senior management and external auditors;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity;
- Ability to execute and follow through to completion and documentation;
- High attention to detail and strong organization skills;
- Ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment;
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization;
- Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with Google Suite of tools;
- Ability to be promoted to increased levels of responsibility in different parts of the global finance organization.
