In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our members over the phone, assisting them with a range of financial services including wire transfers, teller transactions, cash advances, and new account openings. Key Responsibilities:
- Member Communication: Provide exceptional service to members over the phone, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about credit union products and services.
- Wire Transfers: Process domestic and international wire transfers efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Teller Transactions: Handle various teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Cash Advances: Process cash advances for credit card holders, ensuring proper authorization and adherence to security procedures.
- New Account Openings: Assist members in opening new accounts, including checking, savings, and other financial products, while ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and compliance requirements are met.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions and member interactions, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to member accounts or transactions in a timely manner.
- Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to offer additional products and services that meet the needs of members, enhancing their overall experience with the credit union.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in a customer service or financial services role, preferably within a credit union or banking environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively handle phone-based interactions.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of credit union products and services, or a willingness to learn.
