About the Job
Our client has a consulting opportunity for a Financial Services Tax Project Coordinator to help support a tax department for a contract position with mandatory overtime.
Candidate will be in the office 3 to 4 days a week and have excellent Excel skills to include pivot tables and v-lookups and reconciliation experience. Any experience in financial services/taxes and pricing models or databases preferred.
Bachelor's degree required.

responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Manager of Tax Operations in defining and executing various enhancements to streamline the manual workload and input on various functions, which include:
? Work individually and within small groups to obtain, update and validate client tax cost (Lot) information (e.g., term of basis, wash sales, covered indicator).
? Identify processes that can benefit from automation or specific changes to reduce manual dependencies related to tax cost input into client systems.
? Lead, manage, and document special projects as assigned by the Tax Operations manager.
? Learn source data specific to tax lot maintenance within client systems and tables using tools specific to FIS and enterprise tools database.
? Work closely with the Department Manager and Senior Project Manager on various process improvement projects.
Qualifications
? Business related degree preferred
? 2-3 years financial industry experience
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills - dealing with various business and operational units
? Excellent knowledge of Excel, familiar with the Microsoft suite of products Outlook, Word, & Access
? Basic knowledge of PL/SQL, preferred
? FIS Global Plus experience is a plus
? Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
? Solid work ethic, disciplined, task focused and ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
? Ability to work in an agile team environment and collaborate closely with various teams to solve problems and understand data
Hours: 830 to 530 plus mandatory overtime during busy season
