We are seeking a Financial Systems Auditor to support our IRS Professional Financial Management and Audit program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and if awarded we're anticipating that the role would be performed on a hybrid basis with onsite support in Washington, DC. In this role you will:
1) Work with IT to validate the status of Internal Use Software projects (e.g., verify scope of work, milestone status (if applicable), and period of performance).
2) Assist with the preparation and/or review of recurring work paper analysis and posting models and perform variance analysis of GL accounts and financial statement line items
3) Assist with the implementation of new/amended accounting standards and regulations, and new/updated business processes.
4) Assist with documenting policies and guidance included in standard operating procedures and/or Internal Revenue Manual.
5) Provide support to the GAO Revenue and Refund Samples Testing by receiving the initial sample file from GAO and providing Headquarters Accounting samples in a spreadsheet format
6) Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Public Trust clearance
- 6+ years of experience with at least 3 years working on federal government audits
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification
- Proven experience implementing an audit strategy for information systems based on risk management, conducting audits of business financial systems, and evaluating compliance to applicable laws, policies and standards related to IT.
