Position: Financial Systems Engineer 

Location: 

• Downtown Los Angeles preferred (Hybrid, 1+ day onsite)
• Or local to Orange County, CA, Sacramento, CA, San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, or Washington, DC

Pay: $145,000 to $165,000 annually  
Experience: 

• 3+ years law firm experience to support and maintain financial firmwide systems  by overseeing Aderant and Intapp, as well as supporting and maintaining the SQL database environments.  
• Experience supporting legal and/or financial software platforms (Aderant, Elite 3E, Handshake, Intapp Open, Intapp Wallbuilder, viDesktop, Chrome River, Sage Fixed Assets).  
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting scripts using, VB.NET, Powershell, and SQL. 
• Experience with REST and MS Graph API’s; creating and troubleshooting MS SQL queries; and Windows hosted applications utilizing client/server and MS SQL databases. 

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science is required.

Job Description:   

• Using knowledge of IT disciplines, including client-server, security and database infrastructure, to support various firm financial and enterprise systems.  
• Position reports to the Information Technology Director and assists with technical support and implementation projects for Aderant Expert and integrated financial systems, including SSRS reports, Budgeting, Expert Billing and Collections, Time Entry, Paperless Pre-Bills and Generic Importer working with the finance team, administrative staff and external vendors on issues relating to the financial applications (Aderant Expert, Pre-bills, and Time Entry).   
• Other duties include providing technical support for clustered SQL environments and developing SQL queries; supporting Handshake, Intapp, BigSquare, and viDesktop environments, and performing as liaison between staff and vendors to implement change requests; maintaining user and matter security within Aderant Expert. 
• Developing stored procedures and identifying areas for improvement within financial applications. 
• Using Aderant Expert customization tools to create forms and build inquiries/reports. 
• Providing database support for non-financial applications. 
• Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures and assumptions, methodologies and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks. 

Position Requirements:     

• Familiarity with workflow engines within Sharepoint Online and/or Intapp Integrate and with MSSQL, MSDTC, AAG, SQL security best practices.  
• Utilize database mechanisms, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic & SQL to assist in the development and improvement of the reporting processes. 
• Experience responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports. 
• Interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm, including effective oral and written communication and have knowledge of accounting principles, systems, practices, controls and procedures;  
• Strong organizational skills, effective time-management, ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and excellent analytical skills. 
• Must be highly organized, able to present quality professional products with timely delivery of all work, and complete special projects as requested. 
• Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus in demanding, deadline-driven situations and maintain flexibility regarding changing deadlines, priorities and maintenance are needed.
