Alta Protection Services is searching for full and part-time Fire Alarm Inspector to join their team in Ashland, Ohio! Alta Protection Services is a leader in the fire protection and security industry. The Fire Alarm Inspector will be responsible for performing regular inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical, fire alarm and other related systems. We are looking for an individual that has a working knowledge of fire safety and electrical systems and be able to ensure that they are in good working order.

- Pay: $22 – $33/hour, offer dependent on experience
Schedule:
- 1st shift
- 4 10-hour shifts weekly
- Flexible schedule
- Seasonal positions available
- Monday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Friday
- On call
The right candidate will have:
- Proven work experience as a Fire Alarm Inspector or in a similar role
- Familiarity with NFPA standards and codes
- Knowledge of electrical and fire alarm systems
- Ability to identify and repair faults in fire alarm systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma: further education in fire safety and prevention is a plus
Physical Demands/ Work environment
This job generally requires the ability to perform the following tasks: walking, bending, stooping and standing for extended periods. Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements. Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.
Our Fire Alarm Inspector will:
- Inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet safety standards
- Identifying malfunctions in fire alarm systems and recommending necessary repairs
- Performing regular maintenance on fire alarm systems, including cleaning and replacing parts as necessary
- Consulting with clients and advising on fire alarm system options and requirements
- Interpreting and applying fire safety codes and regulations during inspections
- Completing inspection reports detailing the condition of the fire alarm system and any recommended repairs or upgrades
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and technologies
- Training and educating clients or building occupants on proper fire alarm use and emergency procedures
- Coordinating with fire departments and other emergency services as needed
