Fire Alarm Service Technician - CopperState Fire Protection

CopperState Fire Protection is currently hiring for a Service Technician in our Phoenix, Arizona branch.

Position Summary:

Service Technicians are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler and/or suppression fire alarm systems. Technicians will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conducting service calls for commercial customers
• System testing and inspecting to the prescribed NFPA standards
• Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and suppression equipment
• Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
• Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off-site
• Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools
• Has excellent attendance and punctuality
• Dress in appropriate attire
• Acts in a professional manner

Education & Required Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to work with small tools as assigned (i.screwdriverver, hammer, etc.)
• Ability to install, inspect, program, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and or fire sprinkler systems.
• Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must read and speak English
• Strong Time Management Skills
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
• Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License

Experience:

• 1-2 years prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation required.
• NICET II + or CSA Certification is required
