Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the operations and production of the branch's Fire Alarm and Suppression service department from point of sale through implementation and customer retention.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings
• Test and repair alarm systems already in place
• Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code
• Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues
• Meet with building engineers, property management and/or site contacts upon arrival to facility to notify of work status and again upon conclusion of workday.
• Work with Contractors and Customers to accurately quote the cost of jobs in a timely manner and follow up with contractors and customers on a regular basis throughout the installation process.
• Verify integrity of all work prior to tying-in to building's fire alarm system. This may include functionality testing of installed devices, metering circuits and devices for shorts, grounds and faults.
• Repair as needed to ensure a fully compliant system operation.
• Respond to emergency service calls
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
• 8+ years experience with commercial and residential Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression systems required
• 4+ years in a Supervisory or Foreman role required
• Must have a clean driving record
• NICET I required (Fire Alarm and/or Suppression), NICET II preferred
Other Duties:
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Ability to travel when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
• While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
