Fire Protection Apprentice - James Lane Air Conditioning and Plumbing

James Lane, a Fidelity Company in Wichita Falls, TX, is looking for a Fire Protection Apprentice to join our growing team! As a Fire Protection Technician I, he/she will assist in installing fire sprinkler systems in industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.

Primary Duties

• Helping with the installation of water-based fire sprinkler systems, including start-up through the finish
• Follow verbal and written instructions, and read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities
• Perform duties by the company's safety policy
• Manage competing demands and frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment

Qualifications

• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to visually inspect and service sprinkler and backflow systems
• Ability to exercise effective time management skills, prioritize, and work on a timeline
• Ability to effectively use backflow test, pipe wrench, various lifts, and common pipe fitting tools
• Must have high trainability

Minimum/Preferred Requirements

• High school diploma and current driver's license
• Plumbing/pipefitting experience and/or Plumber's Apprentice license preferred
• Electrical experience preferred
• Fire Alarm trainee license and/or OSHA 10 preferred
