Position Overview Billing Clerk:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Billing Clerk to join our dynamic team! If you have at least 2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or administrative support within the construction or fire protection industry, we want you to apply. Key Responsibilities for Fire Protection Billing Clerk:
- Prepare and process invoices for fire protection system installations, inspections, and maintenance services.
- Review and verify job costs, contracts, and billing details to ensure accuracy.
- Work closely with project managers and field teams to gather necessary billing information.
- Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues with clients in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize billing records and related documentation.
- Assist with account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Prepare and submit lien waivers, certificates of completion, and other required documentation.
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting and finance teams.
Qualifications for a Billing Clerk:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or administrative support, preferably in construction or fire protection.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with construction billing processes, change orders, and progress payments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.); experience with construction-specific accounting software is a plus (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Sage 100).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
