Fire Protection Engineer Responsibilities:

• Assist with all aspects of fire protection engineering, including designing and planning building firesuppression, fire alarm/mass notification systems, and conducting building code/life safety analyses.
• Executing design calculations, drafting plans & specifications for intricate projects under the direct guidance of a Sr Fire Protection Engineer.
• Fire Protection Engineer will have solid technical background, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently with initiative.

Minimum Qualifications for Fire Protection Engineer Position:

• Building Information Modeling (BIM) Revit
• AutoCAD
• Broad familiarity with NFPA codes and standards, especially NFPA 13, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101
• 2+ years of experience designing fire suppression and fire alarm/mass notification systems
• Strong communication skills
• Pass the Fundamentals Exam
• Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering field 
• Professional Engineering License Preferred (NCEES FPE Exam)-preferred
• Preferred candidates will have experience in the Federal government and Department of Defense, including COE and NAVFAC involvement
