Description:Markon is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support one of our Intelligence Community Customers.
Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections of new construction and renovations to validate compliance of fire protection and life safety.
- Witness testing and commissioning of fire protection systems and equipment
- Conduct fire safety audits, inspections, and investigations
- Prepare draft fire protection policy, SOPs, and design standards
- Prepare and brief documentation on fire safety data and metrics
- Develop cost estimates and reports
- Manage design efforts, construction efforts, contractor performance, and change requests
- Ensure integration of IT systems, security, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Must have an active TS/SCI FSP clearance
- Bachelor's Degree plus 11 years of experience (experience/education may be substituted for equivalency)
- Previous experience in the construction of fire suppression and fire alarm systems
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
