Schedule Monday- Friday (overtime may be required)
Residential Fire Suppression Designer
The Residential Fire Suppression Designer will be responsible for designing sprinkler systems for Residential Single homes, Townhomes, Two over Two, and multi-dwellings. The designer will need to be familiar with the latest versions of CAD software (Auto CAD and Autosprink) and be able to design NFPA 13D/R layouts to code and the companies’ standards.
Qualification
· Minimum 2-5 years of residential fire suppression designer experience
· AutoCAD or Autosprink software experience
· Design NFPA 13D/R systems per code and company standards.
· Assemble submittal packets.
· Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills.
· NICET Level I or higher is a plus but not required.
· Initiative-taking, high standard work ethic, a team player willing to work with others and communicate effectively with superintendents and designers.
· Experience with different platforms, MS Office, and email communications, and possess strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Residential Designer are as follows but not limited to:
· Collaborate with our team and ensure designs are completed to meet the builder’s schedule. Able to interpret, read blueprint drawings and understand fire suppression specifications.
· Be able to do Hydraulic and Seismic calculations.
· Successfully design residential fire suppression systems meeting code regulations using NFPA standards.
· Complete as builds, and communicate with superintendents about change orders.
· Be able to work in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
· Perform other duties as assigned as needed.
