First Assist - CST/ORT - United Health Systems

Position: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)/ORT-First Assist
Location:Richmond, VA
Pay Rate: $52/hour
Shift: Days( 7AM-5PM)

Responsibilities: RNFA must be proficient in all 3 areas (RN, Scrub and Assist) RN and Scrub will be considered

Flexible and be willing to take call in all 3 areas ( where there is the greatest need)

Positive Attitude

Live within 30 minute response time to OR

Level II Trauma- General, Vascular, DaVinci , Cardiac

GYN; Pediatrics, Neonates; ENT; Plastics, GYN Oncology; Ortho

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team during surgeries, anticipating the needs of surgeons and other team members.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Handle and pass instruments to surgeons during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.

Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• Proficiency in surgical instrument identification and usage.
• Covid Vaccination
• 2 professional references
