As an entry-level legal assistant, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in and learn legal, real estate, finance, and mortgage servicing principles. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to meet performance expectations. All new hires go through a formal orientation and training program where they train on the tasks for which they will eventually be responsible. Initially, tasks would be administrative in nature and would include updating accounts/files, e-filing, researching documents, and new file set-up. As new hires learn and develop various skills, lateral and vertical career advancement opportunities are available throughout our organization based upon performance.
- Other Requirements:
- Focuses on mastering basic high volume processed including clerical tasks, document review, impediment clearing and form drafting: Ability to face with external and internal clients exclusively on those matters that are script-driven.
- Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Walk: The personal in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications Microsoft Excel is widely used in this role as well.
- Superior oral, verbal, and written communication
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Office Environment: This is an in-office position.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Associate’s Degree preferred
- HS Diploma - required
- Relevant experience may compensate for education
Job Type and Compensation
- · This is a full-time position operating under standard business hours. Mondays to Fridays. Shifts available 8am to 5pm OR 8:30am to 5:30pm OR 9am to 6pm. Lunch : 1 hour
