We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant for a contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent role. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing the company's fixed asset records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with month-end and year-end reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update fixed asset records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of journal entries related to fixed assets.
- Coordinate the capitalization and depreciation of assets, including tracking acquisitions and disposals.
- Prepare and review fixed asset reports for management and auditors.
- Support the year-end audit process and provide necessary documentation for fixed asset inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate tracking and reporting of capital expenditures.
- Assist with process improvements related to fixed asset accounting and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in fixed asset accounting.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP system is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities effectively.
