About the Job
As a Fixture Installer, you’ll take on project-based work to build and assemble displays. You will also take on some merchadising responsibilities such as: ensure products are visually appealing to engage shoppers, communicate and work with store managers, verify pricing and labeling information on fixtures .
Responsibilities:
- Take part in department resets, remodeling projects, and the set up of new retail stores.
- Assemble gondolas, H Frame warehouse racking, and other custom fixtures on the main store floor and/or backroom warehouse
- Complete merchandising-related tasks such as stock placement, resetting POGs, resetting metal shelves, and setting end caps.
- Follow installation documents, including materials like planograms, modular and fixture layout documents
- Maintain retailer-specific online qualifications
- Demonstrate safe usage of tools including but not limited to: a cordless drill, a hammer drill, tape measure, a level, various screwdriver types, rubber mallet, etc.
- Interpret store blueprints and plans
- Use construction knowledge to determine the most efficient methods of installation, work procedures, and material and tool requirements
- Arrive on time and work scheduled hours - these may include both overnight and day shifts depending on client requirements. Shift lengths lasting 8 to 10+ hours (shift length will vary by project)
- Adapt to evolving work schedule
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations in a designated area or region (dependent on market location) for 1 to 6 weeks at time
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and Apollo management team (good communication = more shifts)
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
- Ability to read diagrams or instructions, process instructions, and use personal hand tools or power tools as necessary
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools or power tools when necessary
- Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Must be 18 years or older
