As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our fleet vehicles, ensuring their optimal acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and disposal. This role involves strategic planning, budget management, and collaboration with various departments to support operational goals and maintain high safety standards.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Vehicle Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of all light and medium-duty vehicles.
- Strategic Planning: Set fleet strategies, goals, and budgets in support of operational and company objectives.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Develop schedules and procedures for routine maintenance and non-routine repairs.
- Expense Management: Collaborate with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as fuel and labor costs.
- Performance Reporting: Generate reports on fleet performance, analyze information, and develop solutions.
What You Bring:
- AHigh School diploma/GED
- ABachelor's degree in a closely related field, a plus
- A minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in the fleet management for the constructionindustry
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems (i.e., BST/Deltek/Dynamics) and telematics software (i.e., Geotab)
- Willingness to travel to project sites occasionally (up to 25% of the time)
- Basic knowledge ofvehicles and related equipment
