Fleet Semi Trailer Mechanic
The Fleet Trailer Mechanic is responsible for service work, troubleshooting diagnostics, and state inspections within the shop for semi-trailers and yard trucks. This also includes road call work as needed and body repair. Job duties may not be all-inclusive - other duties may be required as assigned.

What You Will Be Doing:
• Provide Preventative Maintenance and Federal Inspections on Dry & Refrigerated semi-trailers.
• Perform all mechanical light and heavy-duty repairs as needed to semi-trailers, including brake and wheel seal replacement on air disc or drum applications.
• Inspect semi-trailers to verify that there are no DOT infractions and perform necessary repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Diagnose & repair electrical (lighting) and ABS issues on semi-trailers.
• Perform body repairs (body panels, side & top rails, roof, flooring), including rear door work - roll-up or swing.
• Perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Welding as needed - gas or electric.
• Use hand tools, electric drills, and air tools.
• Ensure and maintain a safe environment through compliance with all Company, Local, State, and Federal mandates or programs.
• Complete required paperwork and enter data into a maintenance program.
• Create a Continuous Improvement environment by improving products, services, and processes with the objective to reduce waste within the Region while striving for efficiency and profitability.
• Other duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• CDL License preferred or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.
• Must be able to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers.
• Must be able to weld.
• Must be proficient in the use of a computer.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
