About the Job
Our Autonomous Vehicle client is looking for Fleet Support Engineer in Foster City, CA who will be actively engaged in the operational uptime of our fleet
Description:
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting troubleshooting processes, and providing real-time support for daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for fleet issues.
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for technicians.
Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
Ability to review large data sets to identify systematic issues and inform preventative actions
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
Ability to safely troubleshooting low voltage and high voltage systems
Proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and state machine diagrams.
Experience with debugging Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) issues.
Experience with fundamental network troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in real time service operation settings.
Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components.
Self-starter; ability to build relationships across the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electric vehicle technology.
Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting.
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics tools.
Experience with Linux & Python-based programming systems for fleet-level data processing.
Familiarity with networking, TCP, and socket programming.
Experience with GPS/RTS debugging
