About the Job
Must be able to diagnose and repair various gas
and diesel engines, electrical, brake and hydraulic systems with minimum supervision
and instructions. This position reports to the Assistant Fleet Manager.
Pay: 28-35/hr

Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment.
● Communicate with other departments via: Phone, Text, Email, Meetings, Etc.
● Assign Tasks to Lead Fabricator, Assistant Mechanic.
● Debrief Daily to F&F MRG Any updates, plans, questions or concerns regarding
the fleet and facilities operations.
● Perform major overhauls to engines, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic lifts
along with accessories and components.
● Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
including lube oil and filter service.
● Remove and replace accessories as necessary (i.e. radio, horns, lighting,
expendable items and miscellaneous light repairs).
● Road test vehicles to verify repair.
● Prepare and maintain service records and reports.
● Maintain logs, charts, records, etc. as required to accomplish assignments.
● Research, purchase and inventory Fleet & Facility equipment, parts, chemicals
and supplies.
● Respond to routine and emergency road calls for repairs and services.
● Comply with GPM's & OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly
work areas.
● Comply with the F.M.C.S.A, CHP, C.A.R.B and other regulatory entity
requirements
