About the Job
Basic Function:
- Responsible for the maintenance, quality, and licensing compliance in all physical environments at Glenkirk, as well as the meet safety and maintenance standards for our agency vehicles.
Scope:
- Supervises a team of maintenance and fleet technicians. Contracts with trade and professional vendors to ensure facilities needs are met and compliant with local and state requirements. Identifies and communicates capital project needs. Participates as a key member of the Safety Committee and Quality Assurance (QA) Committee.
Work Performed:
- Monitor all Glenkirk sites to ensure the good condition of structures, furnishings, appliances, landscapes, etc. Identifies capital project needs and works with Sr. Leadership to establish strategies to address needs;
- Ensure environmental/safety licensing compliance across all sites. Demonstrate a familiarity with regulations and standards, including Illinois’ Department of Human Services (DHS) Rules and state and federal safety laws and regulations;
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient and effective completion of maintenance tickets;
- Utilize the ZenDesk ticketing system to monitor and track maintenance tickets, establish priorities, deploy appropriate assistance, and generate reports;
- Act as the project manager for assigned facility projects;
- Actively participate in assigned committees, including chairing the Safety Committee and sitting on the QA Committee.
- Attend all site QA reviews and follow up to ensure needed corrections are completed.
- Establish professional relationships with vendors, repair services, regulatory bodies, and other professions related to Facilities;
- Other duties as assigned;
Compensation:
Salary offered is $60,000 to $65,000 a year with PTO and benefits.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Information Management, Engineering, or Business, preferred.
Experience:
At least 3 years’ experience in a maintenance/facilities-related field, required. At least 3 years of supervisory experience, required.
Knowledge:
Intermediate maintenance technical skills such as: dry walling, painting, and tiling, etc. Proficiency with repair tools and techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, organization, and prioritization abilities. Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills. Ability to work in and produce documents in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to navigate and execute DHS, IDPH, and Fire Safety licensing regulations.
Physical requirements:
Able to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time. Bending, speaking, listening, writing, use of computer.
