Overview:
Prime and Pint Public House is seeking an experienced and personable Floor Manager to join our team and elevate the guest experience. This role is essential in ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable visit, from attentive table service to the smooth management of daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to hospitality excellence, taking pride in making each guest feel welcome and ensuring team efficiency.
Key Job duties
- Guest Engagement:
- Visit each table during service to greet guests, check on their experience, and gather feedback about their meal and service.
- Resolve any guest issues or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, support, and motivate front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of service and guest engagement.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to review daily specials, guest expectations, and team roles.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere where staff feels valued and supported.
- Scheduling:
- Prepare weekly schedules for front-of-house staff, considering business volume, peak hours, and employee availability.
- Monitor shift swaps and coverage to maintain an optimal staff-to-guest ratio.
- Operational Oversight:
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the restaurant is ready for service and properly secured at the end of the day.
- Oversee cash handling, reconcile daily sales, and prepare end-of-day financial reports.
- Monitor inventory of essential supplies and assist in placing orders as needed.
- Training and Development:
- Train new hires on Prime and Pint’s service standards, table touchpoints, and guest engagement practices.
- Conduct ongoing training sessions to ensure consistent and high-quality service.
Skills and Qualifications
- Prior experience as a floor manager or shift lead in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural talent for making guests feel welcome and valued.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly in scheduling and cash handling.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, creating a positive work environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per restaurant needs.
