Floor Technician/Cleaner - ABM Industries

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring types within our facility. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing.
• Operate floor cleaning machines, such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums, safely and efficiently.
• Apply appropriate cleaning solutions and chemicals according to safety standards and manufacturer instructions.
• Conduct routine inspections of flooring to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
• Address spills and stains promptly to prevent damage and maintain safety.
• Collaborate with the facilities team to schedule and execute deep cleaning tasks.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for events as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in floor maintenance is REQUIRED
• Familiarity with different types of flooring and appropriate cleaning techniques.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling.
• MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION - NOT ON A BUS ROUTE
