Job Title: Outside Sales Representative - Flooring Wholesaler
Position Overview: As an Outside Sales Representative for our flooring wholesaler, you will be responsible for generating sales leads, building relationships with clients, and promoting our extensive range of flooring products to customers in designated territories. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. The primary goal is to drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
- Research potential clients and markets to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and preferences.

Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including contractors, builders, architects, and designers.
- Conduct regular visits to client sites to assess needs, provide product demonstrations, and offer expert advice on flooring solutions.

Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Present product offerings and pricing structures to clients, emphasizing the quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal of our flooring products.
- Negotiate terms of sale, prepare quotations, and follow up on leads to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with the internal sales team to coordinate order processing, inventory management, and delivery logistics.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for product differentiation and business growth.
- Develop strategic sales plans and initiatives to penetrate new markets, expand customer base, and increase market share.

Customer Service and Support:
- Provide ongoing support to clients, including addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on product selection, installation techniques, and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the flooring industry or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with diverse clientele.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical information in a clear and compelling manner.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and industry standards is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory as needed.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Outside Sales for Building Materials, preferably in Flooring.
- Familiarity with Flooring products.
- Experience with making Estimates.
Working Conditions:
- This position primarily operates in a field sales environment, with frequent travel to client sites, trade shows, and industry events.
- Flexibility in work schedule may be required to accommodate client meetings and sales activities outside of regular business hours.
- Physical demands may include lifting and carrying sample materials, standing for extended periods, and navigating construction sites or commercial buildings.
