About the Job
The client seeks a knowledgeable and organized professional to manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests within their organization. The ideal candidate will be the primary contact for employees regarding FMLA leave, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining confidential records, and tracking usage trends.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
• At least 5 years of FMLA administration experience
Required Skills/Experience:
• Strong knowledge of FMLA regulations
• Knowledge of ADA administration
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and attention to detail skills
• Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Suite, HRIS systems, Kronos)
• Previous experience working in a Union environment
Required Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
• Primary contact for employees requesting FMLA leave
• Review FMLA leave requests and determine eligibility in compliance with applicable laws/regulations. Facilitate timely processing of requests
• Maintain confidential records related to FMLA following Company policies and legal requirements
• Daily Monitor and track FMLA usage
• Monitor usage trends by day, department, and employee and report findings and suggestions to make improvements
• Work collaboratively with Springfield P&C team members and departmental management
• Provide training/education on FMLA to managers and employees
