About the Job
The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations of the food and beverage department. This individual will ensure smooth execution of dining services, maintain high standards of quality and customer service, and support the Food and Beverage Manager in achieving financial and operational goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has strong leadership skills, and is committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
- Assist in Managing Daily Operations: Ensure that the food and beverage service runs efficiently by supervising and supporting staff in all areas including the restaurant, bar, and banquet operations.
- Staff Supervision: Help recruit, train, and manage food and beverage staff to deliver excellent service. Provide ongoing training and development.
- Guest Satisfaction: Interact with members and guests to ensure their experience exceeds expectations. Handle any complaints or special requests with professionalism.
- Inventory and Ordering: Assist in managing inventory levels, placing orders, and controlling costs while maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Event Coordination: Work with the events team to help coordinate food and beverage service for banquets, private events, and club functions.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Financial Management: Assist in monitoring financial performance by controlling expenses and contributing to revenue generation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate the team to maintain a positive, professional, and efficient working environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage or hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end or private club setting.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must have a keen eye for detail and a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with food and beverage software systems, inventory management, and event planning.
- Certification: Food safety certification and responsible alcohol service certifications are a plus.
