Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH is now accepting applications for winter Food & Beverage Supervisors to assist with the delivery of a welcoming and hospitable dining experience throughout all resort venues, including food courts, restaurants, food trucks, kiosks, special events and group functions. As the supervisor, you will assist with staffing, training, planning, budgeting, safety, and performance results of each venue and deliver a superior dining experience for all guests. This is a full-time, seasonal position scheduled from November 1st through mid-April. $22/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the daily coordination of all food service outlets including, but not limited to: pre-season planning and hiring, daily opening and closing procedures, facility inspections and cleanliness, equipment and supplies inventory, staff scheduling, and guest relations; continuously monitor revenue, labor, and guest experience to ensure key performance indicators are achieved.
- Directly supervise the efforts of Gunstock Servers, Bartenders, Cashiers, Hosts and other FOH team members; effectively train team members on operational procedures for the POS system to accurately and efficiently process guest orders; provide support as needed when issues arise.
- Effectively mitigate shrinkage through internal inventory controls and loss prevention efforts; conduct regular inventory counts and thoroughly research all discrepancies prior to reconciliation; prevent theft and asset loss through proper zoning, staffing, and placement of merchandise.
- Assist in forecasting business volume by consulting with other members of the management team in order to appropriately plan for and coordinate service.
- Maintain an effective sales and service presence among hospitality team at all times; drive sales by consistently delivering outstanding guest service.
- Manage and monitor internal processes and staff training to ensure a safe, clean facility and work environment that follows all appropriate regulations, including OSHA, Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, Food Handling and Preparation, and Cash Handling.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or culinary arts or equivalent experience, plus at least 3 years of experience in restaurant/food services within a recreation, hospitality, or multi-concept environments.
- Experience in opening a new restaurant is desirable.
- Stellar leadership and communication skills with demonstrated to ability to create excellent working relationships throughout the organization; superior problem-solving and organizational skills are required.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and general workplace safety standards with knowledge of Health Department requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
SCHEDULING:
Position requires 40 hours per week. During peak operational periods, Gunstock is open to the public 7 days/week with weekends being our busiest times. While we offer alternative flexible scheduling, this position does require evening, weekend and holiday availability.
