Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Food and Beverage Runner/Busser to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Responsibilities:- Set up Expo Line according to restaurant standards.
- Consistently keep the restaurant and expo line organized and clean.
- Clear and reset tables to standards.
- Ensure silverware is not spotted or fingerprinted and china and glassware is not chipped.
- Set up trash cans, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at start of shift.
- Pick up soiled plates and beverages, and place into bus tubs.
- Ensure full bus tubs get brought back into the kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
- Work carefully to avoid breakage and loss.
- Strong knowledge of floor layout and table numbers
- Run food quickly and efficiently
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to hotel standards.
- Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Inform server of potential issues with guests.
- Stock/restock appropriate linens and station with appropriate glasses, plates, and saucers.
- Complete assigned side work. Side work is not optional and will be checked out by the manager-on duty.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
- High School diploma preferred.
- Previous experience in a dinner service restaurant or fine dining atmosphere.
- Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Able to communicate well with staff and customers.
- Knowledge of food and beverage products.
- Knowledge of property-wide facilities and services.
- Must be able to speak and comprehend English.
- Must be able to multi-task and to work quickly and discreetly.
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
