Food Technologist/ Laboratory Technician to aid in ingredient applications and functionality evaluations.

• Aid in the development of new ingredient technology for The Company's food and beverage products.
• Conduct bench top and pilot plant trials to optimize formulation and processes.
• Perform functional evaluations of new ingredients and record results.
• Perform sensory testing of prototypes and coordinate expert panel sensory tests.
• Perform shelf-life and stability evaluations.
• Coordinate team evaluations on a regular basis.
• Submit prototypes for analytical testing and compile results.
• Communicate with suppliers for ingredient requests and information.
• Write progress reports.
• Maintain and organize laboratory and supplies.
• Ensure laboratory safety.

• Must Have a Microbiology experience/background (Microbiology lab techniques knowledge)
• Must Have a great work ethic and enthusiasm.
• Must be Local worker (not offering relocation).
• B.S. in Food Science or similar field and 2 min years' experience
• Ability to provide sensory descriptions of foods and beverages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good record-keeping and organization
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
