Position: Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Manager - Full Time

The FNS Manager will manage the FNS Department and personnel, ensuring quality food preparation and service to all customers, while meeting budgetary guidelines. Responsibilities may also include clinical duties as appropriate.

Position Highlights:

• Evaluates work performance and completes periodic evaluations of FNS Maintains or assists in maintenance of the personnel records of the FNS partners.
• Assists in development and adherence to policies and procedures, menus, job descriptions, cleaning schedules, and other food service management tools. Develops, revises, and adapts work techniques and methods for more efficient operation of the department and in training FNS
• • May assist the dietitian in the gathering and organizing of nutritional information. These tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: o Conduct routine patient visits to gather pertinent information which includes usual body weight/weight change history, food and beverage preferences, intolerances, allergies, etc. for completion of assessment and screening tools
  • Evaluates adequacy of nutrient intake
  • Identify nutrition problems and needs
  • Implement diet plans and physicians' diet orders, using appropriate modifications
  • Utilize standard nutritional care procedures
  • May document nutritional data in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or the electronic tray ticket/selective menu system
  • Participates in Patient Care Plan conferences
  • Counsel patients on basic diet restrictions
  • Works with the Director of FNS, NDTR, RDN, Regional Dietitian, and/or Administrator and follows recommendations made.

ExperienceExperience in administration is desired; however, it is not required.
Experience in clinical nutrition is desired; however, it is not required.
