About the Role:
As a Food Pantry Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food pantry program. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our clients receive the necessary support and resources to meet their basic needs. Your main goal will be to ensure that our food pantry program runs smoothly and efficiently, and that our clients receive the highest level of service possible.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a food pantry or similar environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Experience managing volunteers.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the food pantry program, including inventory management, distribution, and volunteer coordination.
- Ensure that all clients receive the necessary support and resources to meet their basic needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all food pantry activities, including inventory, distribution, and volunteer hours.
- Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to ensure that our clients have access to a wide range of resources and services.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients, volunteers, and staff members.
Skills:
In this role, you will use your strong organizational and time management skills to ensure that our food pantry program runs smoothly and efficiently. You will also use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service to our clients, volunteers, and staff members. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in this role. Additionally, if you have experience managing volunteers or working with diverse populations, you will be able to use those skills to make an even greater impact in this role.
