This role oversees all aspects of food procurement, donor cultivation, and transportation logistics. You’ll supervise the transportation and food rescue teams, work closely with the Operations Director on strategic goals, manage food and fleet budgets, ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, GMP, and AIB standards, and serve as the main contact for food donors. FLSA Classification: Exempt; salaried
Pay Range: $50,000-$60,000 per year plus competitive benefits.
Spanish Bilingual differential: $1,500 annually (as eligible)
Position Type: Full-time; 40 hours per work week
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8:00a-4:30p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.
Location: Main Administration - 5706 Wright Dr. Loveland, CO 80538 with intermittent presence in all 3 locations.
Remote Eligibility: This position is expected to work onsite but may be allowed to work from home, on occasion, with the department director’s approval after 90 days.

PROCUREMENT & TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Identify, solicit, and cultivate relationships with food donors, including regional food banks, Feeding America, and industry partners, to coordinate and secure large donations.

Plan, coordinate, and implement food donation processes with Operations staff to ensure timely, quality service delivery.

Oversee and improve systems for donor tracking, reporting, and acknowledgment, ensuring accurate reporting of donated pounds and compliance with reporting standards for Feeding America and management.

Manage truck fleet maintenance, records, and safety, and serve as a back-up driver to support logistics as needed.

Lead process improvements and innovation to boost program efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Develop and maintain food procurement procedures, using data and statistics to enhance program outcomes.

Educate and engage donors on Food Safety standards.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Cultivate donor relationships by planning and scheduling donor visits, assessing satisfaction, and coordinating outreach efforts to increase community support.

Collaborate with growers, partner agencies, and industry partners to meet food donation needs and enhance donor relations.
MANAGEMENT

Manage and oversee staff to ensure effective planning, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, supported by regular check-ins to recognize successes and address challenges while providing necessary direction.

Promote a high-performance culture through effective coaching, delegation, and ongoing feedback, while exemplifying organizational values through curiosity, risk-taking, and empathy.

Manage department budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing processes, instilling accountability among direct reports.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree in business, logistics, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience in program management and logistics.

Experience in community relations, especially within non-profit or food distribution sectors, preferred.

Familiarity with safety and compliance standards, such as DOT, OSHA, and food safety regulations.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of all pre-screening requirements.

Passing of the WorkSTEPS job-specific test.

21+ years of age and possession of a valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record, as confirmed through an MVR check.
LANGUAGE SKILLS & ABILITY: Proficiency in English required, bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:

Prefer experience with Inventory and Project Management systems, especially Microsoft Navision Ceres 2009.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online technologies is essential.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has direct reports and is responsible for supporting the coordination of volunteers, external vendors, and partnerships.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works in a warehouse setting with regular outdoor exposure to elements such as cold, heat, and rain, around vehicles, and frequently in public and private non-FBLC warehouse environments like grocery retailer receiving areas.

TRAVEL: Local travel is the primary expectation during business hours, with occasional out-of-state and in-state overnight trips, as well as visits to partner sites (Greeley, Red Feather Lakes, Estes, etc.). Mileage reimbursement is provided for work-related travel.
