Description: Food Scientist, R&D consistently drives strategy aligned with Bama's Annual Operating Plan, and plays a critical role in Bama's financial success by managing projects that contribute to culinary and food processing excellence. The candidate is responsible for executing product development efforts on assigned projects, with equal emphasis on core product improvement and new product development.
We are seeking a highly motivated person who has foundational education and experience in food processing research and development. The candidate will be knowledgeable about flour-based products, ingredient functionality, food processing equipment, new product development and core product improvement processes. In addition, they must exhibit sound analytical/problem solving skills, and use good judgment when resolving issues. The candidate we seek will have a demonstrated track record of effective interpersonal relationships and the ability to successfully collaborate on a cross-functional team.
Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Food Scientist, R&D will accomplish their project goals and objectives through effective leadership and working relationships with company leaders, customers, functional change agents, and vendor partners. Food Scientist, R&D reports to the Director, R&D. The Operations Manager is part of the leadership team at a manufacturing facility, responsible and accountable for the Production Department at the Bama Companies, Inc., in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position drives production strategy, focus, and alignment supporting Bama's Key Strategic Intentions.
The Operations Manager is a change agent, reporting to the Plant Manager. The position is responsible and accountable for leadership of Production Supervisors, Operations Coordinators and Production Team Members. They understand the Bama Manufacturing Systems and champion Quality/Safety/Continuous Improvement/Smart Fun Financial Growth to employees, customers and the rest of the Management Team. They oversee the application of policies and rules within the Department. They will be a strong resource for production related aspects.
The Operations Manager is a role model for EQ within Bama, supporting Emotional Quotient initiatives and delivers "employees feeling wildly important."
