As a Food Server, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests by providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service. You will take orders, answer menu-related questions, serve food and beverages, and ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable experience. Responsibilities:- Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel comfortable and valued.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and drink orders from guests, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
- Menu Knowledge: Provide detailed information about menu items, daily specials, and answer any questions guests may have regarding food or beverages.
- Food & Drink Delivery: Serve food and drinks to guests quickly, ensuring the correct order and presentation according to restaurant standards.
- Check on Guests: Ensure that guests are satisfied with their meals and service, responding promptly to any additional requests or concerns.
- Upselling & Recommendations: Suggest additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Order Accuracy: Double-check orders before delivery to ensure they are correct, and relay any special requests or modifications to the kitchen.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process guest payments, handle cash, credit cards, and manage tips in accordance with restaurant policies.
- Cleanliness: Keep your work area, including tables, chairs, and service stations, clean and organized.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, food runners, and fellow servers to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including maintaining proper food temperatures, handling utensils correctly, and keeping areas clean.
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in food service or a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Customer-Centric Attitude: A friendly and approachable demeanor, with a focus on creating a positive experience for each guest.
- Multitasking Ability: Ability to manage multiple tables and tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure order accuracy, timely delivery, and attention to guests’ needs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry food and beverages for extended periods.
- Team-Oriented: Able to collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff to provide seamless service.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle basic math for order processing, payment, and tip calculations.
- Flexible Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
- Must be able to carry heavy trays (up to 25 lbs) and stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to navigate busy dining areas and communicate effectively with both guests and staff.
