Job Overview:We currently have an opening for a part-time Food Server to join our Portland, OR team. Assists in the preparation of the patients' meals and nourishments; serves cafeteria customers, operates the cash register and performs daily after-meal cleanup.
Schedule: Part-time (in-person)
Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year
Compensation range: The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.
Responsibilities:Food Service Clean-up
• Performs clean-up of patient trays and cafeteria dishes and dining room according to department procedure. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to operate Hobart Dishwasher according to departmental procedure and manufacturer’s instructions on file.
Operation of Cash Register
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to operate cash register according to manufacturer’s instructions. Competently rings up cafeteria sales, makes correct change, and is able to reconcile cash drawer at the end of the shift.
Food Storage
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform safe storage of food items to avoid waste and spoilage, according to department procedure.
Food Handling
• Demonstrates ability to handle food items according to Health Department temperature standards. Uses techniques which prevent cross-contamination of potentially hazardous foods.
Sanitation
• Maintains food preparation techniques and cleaning/use of utensils and work area according to Department of Health regulations and departmental procedure.
Heimlich Maneuver
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to safely perform the Heimlich Maneuver.

Qualifications:Required
- ServSafe Food Safety Certificate/Food Handlers Card
- COVID-19 Vaccination
Preferred
- High School/GED
- 1 year experience cashier/food prep
