Food Service - full time kitchen substitute staff - Archdiocese of Indianapolis

Full time kitchen substitute position available to join our Mother Theodore Catholic Academies, downtown Indianapolis. Hours will vary between 6:30 AM and 3:30 PM, depending on need. A set daily schedule will be provided, but flexibility will be required as this position serves three center city Catholic elementary schools depending on need. Applicants must have reliable transportation and the ability to work shifts at any of the following schools, located near downtown Indianapolis. Food Service experience is preferred, but not required.

St. Philip Neri Catholic school, 545 N Eastern Avenue

Holy Angels Catholic school, 2822 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street

Central Catholic school, 1155 Cameron Street

The successful candidate will be a reliable, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic. Successful candidates should be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Essential functions:

- clean utensils, equipment, storage, and food preparation and serving areas

- wash and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables

- arrange food on trays and in containers to prepare for meal service

- assist kitchen personnel in various kitchen related tasks as needed

Please note: Some heavy lifting may be required. Possible exposure to common food allergens is likely. Working conditions may be subject to hot or cold temperatures.

Applicants will be required to submit to a background check and be Safe Parish certified.
