Food Service Supervisor-Full Time
The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a full time Food Service Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals in the Food Service department. The Food Service Supervisor, under the direction of the Director of Dietary Services, is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of the dietary workers, in the assembly and delivery of resident meals services, and maintaining the sanitation standards of the department.

Key Tasks Include:
- Directly supervises kitchen staff
- Monitors the assembly and delivery of the resident meals
- Prepares staff schedules
- Instructs staff
- Maintains sanitation
- Assures equipment is thoroughly and timely cleaned
- Supervises the assembly of resident trays
- Counsels and disciplines employees as needed
- Maintains CQI records accurately: Food temperature log, Dish washing machine and Refrigeration equipment
- Monitors employee sick time and lateness
- Completes all Request to Fill Forms, Employee Transaction Forms, Incident Reports, Payroll Sheets in a timely manner
- Adheres to Parker's Corporate Compliance Program in the reporting of related issues
- Accomplishes responsibilities through team work and continuous quality improvement
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Food Service Management or a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Food Service Management
- A minimum of two years' experience in managing tray assembly, storeroom, cafeteria, sanitation and safety, quantity food production
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting a plus
