About the Job
- Responsible for performing all duties of the Food Service Assistant 3 as needed
- Must focus on serving quality food with heightened awareness of accuracy
- Assist in supervising customer service needs in cafeteria, special functions and catering. Ensures that all daily work in the area is started and completed accurately and according to outlined timelines and job breakdowns
- Responsible for counting money and completing cash logs as needed, daily deposits, ordering change for outlets
- Assists in training of workers in performance of duties and assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote an efficient service for customers
- Monitors and delivers(if needed) special functions/catering events are completely setup 15 minutes prior to service time and cleaned up within 30 minutes of end of function/stated pick-up time
- Inspect food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
- Inspects kitchen, dining areas, kitchen utensils, and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met.
- Investigate and resolves food quality and service complaints
- Assists in developing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures
- Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations.
- Make necessary scheduled changes due to call in or when needed.
- Ensures kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom are stocked, cleaned and ready for next shift.
- Adheres to department safety and sanitation regulations
- Demonstrates effective utilization of HACCP food safety standards
- Maintains department to meet all health code standards
- Use protective barriers (gloves, apron, and proper hair coverings)

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification and Licensure
