WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
As our Food Services Director, you begin by reviewing the day's menu, ensuring it caters to diverse dietary needs while maintaining a balance of nutrition and flavor. As you lead your team through the morning rush, you oversee food preparation, coordinate with kitchen staff, and ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards. Throughout the day, you engage with residents, gathering feedback to continually improve their dining experience. Your creative flair shines as you plan special menus for holidays and events, bringing joy and satisfaction to every meal.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- 3+ years of kitchen management experience, preferably in senior living or healthcare
- Proven ability in menu planning, ordering, and budget management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a culinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in ServSafe or an equivalent food safety training
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutritional requirements for seniors
THE SCHEDULE
This position is full-time from Monday to Friday with flexibility required for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for special events and resident activities.
