Job Title: Food Truck Driver (Community Food Services)

Location: Schuylkill County

FLSA: Non- Exempt

Working Days/Hours: Monday through Thursday

Position Type: Part Time; 20-25 hours per week.

Reports to: Reports to Community Food Services Administrator

Job Summary: Catholic Charities feeds those who experience hunger in Schuylkill County by preparing hot meals and distributing nonperishable food to those in need throughout the county, primarily by use of a food truck. We are looking for a reliable Food Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the food truck to various locations throughout Schuylkill County, for loading/unloading the truck from our preparation kitchen in Minersville, serving customers, and maintaining the truck.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive and Navigate:
  • Safely operate the food truck to and from designated locations.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to reach various locations within Schuylkill county.

• Customer Service:
  • Provide friendly and professional service to all customers.

• Maintenance and Cleanliness:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck, both inside and out.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure the truck meets local food and road safety standards.

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Due to the nature and mission of the Catholic Church, all employees are bound to exhibit respect for the teachings and discipline of the Church regarding matters of faith and morals.

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and clean driving record.

• Willingness to work within the guidelines of Catholic Charities' Mission and values.

• Willingness to learn the proper procedures for operating the food truck, and maintain its kitchen operations in safe working order.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals in a team environment.

Physical Demands

• Notwithstanding applicable ADA accommodations, while performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to: sit; walk and stand; speak or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use of hands to operate kitchen and office equipment. Reaching and lifting 25 pounds is required.

• Employee is required to occasional drive his/her vehicle to other Catholic Charities or Diocese of Allentown locations.

Working Conditions

• Community settings.

• Must be willing/able to drive anywhere within Schuylkill County, and, on occasion, the 5 counties of the Diocese of Allentown.

• Must be willing/able to travel to conferences, trainings, etc. when required.

• Monday through Thursday, occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Required Clearances and Trainings

• Prior to start date, all Safe Environment Clearances must be received and reviewed, including FBI fingerprint, Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania Department of Health and Human Services clearances. All clearances must be renewed in accordance with Diocese of Allentown and/or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for duration of employment.

• Prior to start date, completion of Mandated Reporter Training (MRT) and every 5 years thereafter or when required by agency, Diocese of Allentown, and/or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

• Prior to start date, completion of Protecting God's Children Training (PGC), as well as any recertification, for the duration of employment.

• Any additional requirements implemented by the Diocese of Allentown, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or specific grantors, for the duration of employment.
