The Food Truck Shift Leader helps to lead scheduled Ted's food truck events with the guidance and direction of the General Manager in order to maximize productivity, customer service, and operational efficiency through inventory management, employee relations, and communication with food truck staff, Ted's Management, and Ted's customers. Additionally, the Shift Leader works as a crew member in Ted's restaurant locations and has the additional responsibility of opening and closing the store location as needed, as well as running the shift when no managers are present for the purpose of ensuring that the store runs smoothly and employees have proper and sufficient direction.
Position Accountabilities:
Drives the food truck regularly, navigating various situations including but not limited to highway driving, city driving, parking in numerous conditions, and following customer direction to specific locations.
Takes pre- and post-shift inventory of relevant food truck items and cleans the truck and prep areas as needed.
Leads the line at events and the restaurants when there is not a manager present, including but not limited to assigning tasks to employees, solving customer issues, and keeping the line running smoothly.
Assists with general food truck and restaurant operations, including inventory management, cleanliness, efficiency, and service utilizing outlined processes, policies, and standards put forth by Ted's Hot Dogs and as directed by the General Manager.
Delivers excellent customer service, both directly and indirectly through employees, in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and maintain and elevate Ted's reputation for hospitality and care.
Prepares food both before events and to customer specifications at events, as well prior to restaurant operations. Preparing includes but is not limited to breading onion rings, portioning and packing food supplies, grilling food such as hot dogs and burgers, frying food such as french fries and onion rings, and dressing entrees with condiments.
Trains and coaches employees on job duties, including operational tasks and soft skills such as customer service and leadership, employing provided company guides, manuals, and instructional materials in addition to in-person, all at the direction of the General Manager.
Communicates with both the Ted's store management and Ted's store staff on topics such as operational changes, company updates, and employee recognition.

Requirements:
Position Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
Ability to pass an MVR check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Flexibility for scheduling required
Reliable transportation to any Ted's food truck event location or regional restaurant location
Previous restaurant experience preferred
Experience driving a large vehicle preferred
Ability to act with a customer comes first attitude and deliver customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations
