Your day as a Foods Maintenance Technician; 1st Shift
As a Maintenance Technician at The Bama Companies, you'll be at the heart of our production facility, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely! Your expert skills will come into play as you troubleshoot and repair crucial systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and electrical wiring. You'll be hands-on with pneumatic systems, bearings, gears, and so much more!
Key responsibilities also include setting up and tearing down automated equipment, along with managing the operation of sprockets. With your trusty industrial tools and shop machinery at your side, you'll tackle every challenge head-on while keeping our food manufacturing processes efficient and reliable. What you need to be successful
To thrive as a Maintenance Technician at The Bama Companies, you'll need a solid foundation of skills and knowledge! A high school diploma or GED is your stepping stone, but proficiency in at least five of the following areas is crucial for success: automated equipment setup, teardown, and repair; PLC troubleshooting; maintenance and repair of motor controls; general industrial wiring and electrical troubleshooting; and servicing AC inverters and DC controllers. Strong electrical skills are a must, along with hands-on experience in mechanical systems such as pneumatics, bearings, seals, gears, chains, and sprockets.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Must be proficient in at least 5 of the following areas and have basic knowledge of the others: •Automated equipment setup
- teardown and repair •PLC troubleshooting •Maintenance and repair of motor controls
- general industrial wiring and hardware
- and electrical troubleshooting •Maintenance and repair of AC inverters
- DC controllers and servers •Strong electrical skill set •Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems including pneumatics
