Role:
The Foodservice Business Development Manager is a newly created individual contributor role that will be responsible for cultivating and growing revenue in the foodservice channel. This is the first dedicated sales role focused on growing the foodservice segment – the opportunities for growth are significant. This role will report to the EVP Sales. If you are self-starter, growth minded, passionate about growing sales in the foodservice channel, and thrive in a fast-paced smaller company environment, we can’t wait to hear from you!

The company is headquartered in Denver, CO. We have a preference towards an in-office role in Denver, but are willing to consider remote candidates with strong foodservice sales industry experience.

Role:

Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing accounts and expand market penetration of broadline foodservice distributor customers.
- Develop new business sales pipeline - identify potential new foodservice prospects, proactively engage with buyers, and convert new business to revenue.
- Participate and support internal foodservice distributor product showings, and conduct ‘ride alongs’ with account managers to attract new retail customers.
- Support and attend foodservice distributor industry and trade shows with our Executive Chef to develop new business.
- Assist in new product development ideas /concepts and garner feedback from customers, as needed.
- Coordinate internally with management, operations, and customer service as needed.
- Learn and understand the existing product lineup, relevant pricing, and order management system.
- Maintain and update monthly pipeline activity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant foodservice business development experience.
- Seafood industry experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly develop relationships and close business.
- Motivated working in a sales role with significant upside compensation tied to revenue performance.
- Operates with a sense of urgency and self-drive.
- Ability to travel 20-40%.
